On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the air conditioning in the room worked very well. The shower had good water pressure. There was cold drinking water in the fridge, which was a nice touch. The bed linen was clean.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues. When we entered the room, there was a strong smell of sewage. The problem turned out to be an improperly sealed shower drain. I actually had to fix it myself. The overall quality of the room renovation does not meet the Ibis standards I am familiar with. The finishing materials and workmanship felt low-quality and very different from other Ibis hotels I have stayed at around the world. Considering that this hotel was more expensive than many other options, I don’t think it offers good value for money. The lifts were also confusing. The third lift, which provides access to the breakfast area, would only take us as far as the lobby and would not go up to our room floor. The room door kept getting stuck. To open it, we had to turn the handle very firmly. We also asked reception to call a taxi for us. When we came downstairs, we discovered that no taxi had been ordered, so we had to ask again. Communication in English was sometimes difficult, and better English proficiency among the staff would significantly improve the experience. Overall, this did not feel like the Ibis quality standard I have experienced in other countries.

I booked for one night cause I had a 16hour layover in Istanbul. The hotel was as described and as shown in the pictures. Very close to the airport, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I had a very quiet relaxing night, the bed was really big and clean. Everything was perfect. The receptionist spoke good English and was very polite. Checked in and checked out smoothly. Highly recommend. Also considered cheap compared to the airport hotels.
