Same province, very different holidays. Belek is a purpose-built resort corridor; Alanya is a real town with a resort strip attached. Here's how to pick, based on what guest footage actually shows.
Choose Belek if…
- Golf or pure resort time is the point. Belek's hotels are the biggest and newest on the coast, with pool complexes that genuinely fill a week.
- You're flying with small kids. Fifteen minutes from Antalya Airport vs ninety-plus to Alanya matters more than any amenity.
- You want guaranteed sand. The beach is wide, flat and consistent along the whole strip.
Choose Alanya if…
- You want a town, not just a compound. Castle views, a working harbour, cliff-top cafés and real restaurants outside the hotel gates.
- Budget stretches further. Comparable all-inclusive boards run noticeably cheaper than Belek, especially outside August.
- You like a swimmable sea early and late in the season. Alanya's water warms up first and stays warm longest.
The honest caveats
Guest videos from both strips agree on two things: August pools are crowded everywhere, and "beachfront" often means a garden walk. Check the synthesis block on each hotel page — that's exactly what we verify against footage.
