!I did not get the room as described and paid for in my booking reservation ( **with spa bath**) After a long trip and a chronic ankle injury I was looking forward to a bath; it gives me some relief. Initially I thought they had put me in the wrong room by mistake, there was no bath and I had not booked a twin room, so I immediately went back to reception. I was told the room with the spa bath was not available. No apology, no explanation, but reassured that I would be moved into that specific room (401) the following day. The following day a senior staff member told me that I had not booked a room with a spa bath, I had booked a standard single room and it must be booking.coms mistake etc. I showed him the room as described in my booking summary. The guy I had spoken to the day before came over then and denied he had promised me the room with the spa bath at all the previous day. As a solo female traveller I felt I was not getting anywhere with this 'debate'; surely there should not be any debate if a room is described as having a spa bath and it clearly doesn't have a bath? No curtain on my window; only net, the kettle in the room didn't work..I didn't bother reporting this, the less engagement I had going forward I felt benefitted my sanity. I had breakfast included in my price, didn't bother with that either. I was just deflated by this experience and was glad to check out.
