!I was disappointed by an experience I had with the concierge service. I asked the concierge to order food for us. He told me he would only order from one restaurant because he knew the owner personally, and he gave me the restaurant’s name. After placing the order, I checked the menu on Google Maps. The menu had been updated 8 months ago, and based on those prices, my order should have been around 1,500 TL. When the food arrived, I was surprised to be charged around 4,000 TL. I told the concierge that I had checked the menu on Google Maps, but he insisted that the menu was 3 years old and therefore inaccurate. However, Google Maps clearly showed it had been updated only 8 months ago. I paid the bill, and later the concierge came to ask how the food was. I told him the food was delicious, but the price was completely different from the menu I had seen. I pointed out again that the menu was updated 8 months ago, not 3 years ago as he had claimed. His only response was, “I understand,” and he simply walked away. I fully understand that restaurant prices can change. However, a difference of this size, together with the explanation I was given, left me with more questions than answers. As a guest, I expected transparency and professionalism, especially when the recommendation came directly from the hotel’s concierge. This is not the kind of experience I would ever expect from a five-star hotel. Even if the hotel was not directly involved, situations like this should be taken seriously, as they can easily damage a guest’s trust and confidence in the hotel’s concierge service.
