- Cleanliness: Multiple reports of cigarette smoke smell throughout rooms and public areas, plus isolated reports of stained mattress and guests buying their own blankets — cleanliness is notably poor.
- Service: Consistently praised staff: described as friendly, helpful and hardworking across multiple reviews; service is a clear strength.
- Location: Several guests praised the location as very good, though some noted street noise affecting sleep — overall location is positive but noisy at times.
- Room Quality: Rooms described as old with an outdated bathroom; smoke smells and at least one report of mattress stains indicate room quality is below expectations.
- Amenities: Breakfast and parking/garage mentioned positively; amenities exist and are useful though not extensive.
- Value for Money: Multiple comments note good price/value — guests feel they get reasonable value for the cost.
- Food and Beverage: Breakfast repeatedly described as good/distinctive and is highlighted as a positive aspect.
- Overall Experience: Mixed overall: several glowing endorsements of the hotel and staff, but serious cleanliness/room issues lower the experience for some guests.
Watch out for: Strong cigarette smoke smell in rooms/areas · Old/outdated rooms and bathrooms · Reported mattress stains and poor hygiene in isolated cases · Street noise affecting sleep · Not truly five-star standard according to some guests

Very good downtown location. My room was quiet because it was not on the street side. They are re-doing the rooms in much of the hotel. Breakfast was very well displayed, all was fresh and amounts were generous for the entire self service set up. Staff was very helpful for everything.
The room was hot because the curtains were wide open and the sun was beating in. It took the AC all night to adequately cool the room.
