St945 Palas Otel

✓Freundlicher Vermieter.

✓Extremely nice and helpful staff: free coffee and tea, free luggage storage Close to center

!The area is extremely poor, it's the slums. I (think)I heard gunshots in the evening. I did not feel safe, after night this area does not look safe. On our first night, there were police in the hotel because of the district and they asked why we even booked here. Do not recommend for women, especially solo female travelers.

✓The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. They also provided a cleaning service during my stay, and I was able to leave my luggage at the property for a few hours after checking out, which was very convenient. The location is quite central and convenient for getting around. Although the property is situated in a few narrow backstreets, the area felt safe overall, and as a solo female traveler, I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe walking around.

!I feel that the bathroom could have benefited from a more thorough deep cleaning. I completely understand that humidity can be an issue in bathrooms, but there were certain areas that could have been cleaned more carefully, as they seemed to trap dirt and unpleasant odors. The towels also didn’t feel particularly fresh, which made me wonder whether they had been washed or dried properly. Another thing worth mentioning is the lack of soundproofing. Unfortunately, noise travels very easily between rooms, and during the night I could clearly hear the guests staying upstairs, which was quite disturbing at times. Overall, I think a little more attention to cleanliness, a few additional basic amenities, and better sound insulation could have made the stay much more comfortable and enjoyable.
