Sirkeci Grand Family Hotel & SPA★★★

✓It's the location. This hotel, although it is tuck in between two restaurants, is very close to the Sirkeci Marmaray Station & Sirkeci Tram Station...only 5 mins walk through the alley in front of the hotel. It is also 10 minutes walk to Eminonu Pier if you're fit & 20 minutes if you're strolling casually. Egyptian Bazaar, Yani Camii Mosque, Galata Bridge, Eminonu Bus Stop, Cafés, Restaurant & even The Gulhane Park are within 15-30 minutes walk depending on your fitness level or how big is your group. Sultanahmet Square, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar are 2-4 tram stops from the Sirkeci Tram Station. We stayed there for 8 nights. We are 2 adults, 2 elderly in their 70s & 2 kids below 12 yo. We walked almost everywhere even to the Gulhane Park, Gulhane Bazaar (must visit for souvenirs) & even visit the hotel that was being featured in one of the James Bond movie scenes. Overall it was a value for money. It was very basic but the shower toilets were functioning well. No major issues we have encountered. The beds were comfy, pillows were so soft we like it. Towels were clean and they provided us with 2 sets of towel each. Oh ya forgot to mention it has a lift that only serve the 2nd floor and onwards. As for the 1st floor, you need to use the iconic steep Turkish staircase yet it is still accessible for our 2 elderly. Would very much comeback again in 2 years time in shaa Allah.

!They should have cleaned everything thoroughly before we arrived. Dead bugs can be found in certain places in the room. Also, change the bed covers as it is dated and old smudges are visible everywhere. They also should have changed the electric kettle as it is look worn out. As for ironing, you have to request for it. This is the only minor issues we've encountered as we're not that fussy. Bear in mind, this is a very basic accommodation that have everything you need. No breakfast whatsoever. Restaurants, cafés in this area though the food are nice and authentic but it is really pricey for us Malaysians.
