Bekir is a great host. I was allowed to check in at 8:00 in the morning, which was a surprise since i only went there to ask them to keep my bag until check-in time. He's friendly and always keen to help. The bed was very comfortale, i slept very well every night. The hotel is right behind Istiklal street in a very animated and strategic place that has everything you need. I would definitly go back to it if i'm back in Istanbul.
The hotel is surrounded by bars and pubs and the music played and football matches displayed on the tv are loud, so make sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. There's a sketchy road not far from the hotel where transgender prostitues are soliciting. Make sure not to venture into empty roads at night.
The host was very accomodating and helped sort our taxi transfers too and from the airport!
It's a very cheap hotel and still provides all necessary privacy and comfort/facilities. In case there was something the staff was happy to help. Next to the hotel are two amazing local places to drink coffee or have a big traditional Turkish breakfast for a low price. The atmosphere in the street is great
