Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel

!I have stayed at this hotel multiple times since it first opened, which makes this experience even more disappointing and shocking. Unfortunately, what I experienced during my latest stay was nowhere near the standard of a 5-star hotel. In fact, I have serious concerns about how this property can continue to present itself as a luxury 5-star experience when such basic standards are being neglected. The cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable. The bathroom was dirty, with visible stains on the toilet, and the bathtub drain was completely clogged with a large amount of hair. Even more disturbing, there were what appeared to be blood stains on the pillows. Finding something like this in a hotel room is completely unacceptable and frankly shocking. Clean bedding, a hygienic bathroom, and a properly cleaned room are not luxury extras — they are the absolute minimum any hotel should provide. Then came another serious issue: the air conditioning was not working properly. We contacted the hotel, and they sent a maintenance technician to inspect it. When he opened the unit, the AC filter was extremely dirty. This was honestly disgusting and raised serious questions about how regularly the rooms and equipment are actually being cleaned and maintained. For a 5-star property, allowing an AC filter to become that dirty is simply unacceptable. The breakfast was also a huge step down from what I experienced during my previous stays. In the past, breakfast was good and one of the positive aspects of staying here. This time, it was completely average and nowhere close to what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. To make matters worse, there was no waitress assisting us during breakfast at all. The lack of attention and service made the entire experience feel careless and neglected. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I know this hotel can do better because I have stayed here several times before. I have personally experienced a much higher standard in the past.
