✓We arrived late at night after driving for almost an hour from Bodrum city along dark roads with very little signage. The journey makes you wonder why the hotel is marketed as a Bodrum property when it is actually quite remote from the town. The staff are friendly and genuinely try to help, although English is fairly limited. At times, speaking Russian would probably have been more useful. The property itself is showing its age. The rooms, bed linen, furniture and even many of the beach fixtures could all benefit from a refurbishment. On the positive side, the beach is genuinely lovely, with clean water and a pleasant setting. What was disappointing was the pricing. Extras such as water sports are surprisingly expensive given both the location and the dated condition of the resort. Having stayed at Marriott properties around the world, this fell well below the standard I have come to expect from the brand. We had originally booked three nights but decided to shorten our stay to just one. It may suit families looking for a quiet, self-contained resort where they can completely disconnect, but travellers seeking the atmosphere, dining and energy of Bodrum will probably find it too isolated.
