!Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and in my opinion, the overall experience is nowhere near the standard expected from a five-star hotel. The biggest issue was the room we received. When you book a specific room category, you naturally expect to receive what you actually paid for. However, that was not our experience at all. We specifically booked a room on a higher floor with a sea view and a balcony. Instead, we were given a room without a balcony, facing a run-down area. Reception described it as a “city view,” but the view was basically a tall building directly in front of our window, with rubbish visible below. There was practically no view at all. What made this worse was the attitude at reception. It did not seem to matter what type of room we had actually reserved. We were simply given an available room, despite it being significantly different from the description of our booking. Another serious issue was housekeeping. They came very early in the morning and woke us up almost every day. Even worse, staff entered our room without permission on multiple occasions. For a hotel claiming to offer five-star service, this is simply unacceptable. The air-conditioning system was also extremely poor. The heating and cooling only work when the windows are completely closed, and even then, the air conditioning barely cools the room. We could leave it running for hours and the room would only become slightly cooler. The facilities were another major disappointment. The photos online create a very different impression from what you actually find at the hotel. The swimming pool is very small, and the water was extremely cold. The Turkish bath and sauna were not working at all during our stay. Breakfast was also far below what I would expect from a five-star hotel. Many of the foods were extremely greasy, the fruit lacked freshness and flavor, and the bread was often dry.
