D Maris Bay★★★★★

✓The bay and surroundings are stunning, you really do not tire of the view. There are multiple beaches and spots, so even if you go for a week it doesn’t feel like each day is the same.The restaurant selection is also plenty, each night we were able to eat somewhere different which meant you was meant to make the use of the beautiful hotel without actually leaving which was a bonus. The breakfast staff was also extremely pleasant and always done their best to accommodate and give the best service. Ahmet Ozsoy deserves a special mention, he was observant of my cold brining me hot water and honey, and ginger shots and also gave us great Turkish recommendations for breakfast and we enjoyed each morning his pleasantries

!After living in the UAE for 5 years you are undoubtedly spoilt for service, however this 5 star luxury resort is seriously missing the 5 star service in my opinion, that you would get staying in a hotel in Dubai for less of the cost. For me the most disappointing thing was, considering we had chose a special hotel to spend our first wedding anniversary - it almost completely went undetected by staff. No note in the room. No congratulations at dinner, which to me set the tone for the rest of the holiday. The cleaning staff of the room, cleaned but by this they made the bed and changed the towels so the bare minimum, we actually had to call because the room service tray was outside our room for more than 12 hours. Again not what you would seriously expect from a hotel commanding this level of money. There was dust on the shelves and under the bed. Breakfast was limited, repetitive and a let down. There was no menu to order of à la carte so was a bit of a gamble / guess if the waiters understood and every day there was some form of guest disaster of someone not getting their eggs. The gym was well equipped but any classes were additional cost. ANY classes, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this globally anywhere. Little things like top up bottles of spf around the poolside / beaches, water given how secluded this resort is would seriously improve the service.
