CASA GALATA 35

✓- The room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the space was laid out efficiently (lots of space to unpack). We also really appreciated the washing machine, dishware, and other amenities in the room. - Located in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Istanbul, filled with little indie and artisan boutiques, quaint restaurants and third wave coffee shops. Although it is within walking distance to popular sightseeing spots like Galata Tower and busy pedestrian streets like Istiklal Cd., it felt quieter, less touristy, and and more authentic than other areas we visited. We didn't take public transportation much because we enjoy walking, but I believe it is also close to a few major public transportation stations. - Exceptional service 24/7, especially from Ömer. We were moved to a smaller room due to flooding in the area, and were offered a private airport transfer as compensation. They were able to book us a hammam package and had many tour options. - Ömer went above and beyond to ease our stay in Istanbul. I had to receive the second dose of a vaccine while in Istanbul, and he took the time to call nearby private hospitals, clinics, and state hospitals to confirm where I could go that would have the vaccine in stock. This saved me an enormous amount of time and confusion, as navigating the public health system in Türkiye without knowing how to speak Turkish can be a complicated affair. - Ömer also helped us find taxis and called our restaurant to let them know we'd be late when the city was in a state of gridlock during a period of heavy rainfall. Large parts of the city (including our hotel) had water cut offs during the storm and Ömer provided us with regular updates and big jugs of water during the disruption.

!It was completely out of the control of the hotel but because the area has been affected lately by heavy rainfall, our initial room (duplex suite) had to be changed to a smaller room. Our initial reaction upon seeing the new room was disappointment, as the room was much smaller than the one we booked and also had less cachet than the other rooms we had seen on the website. The balcony was also facing another building, so there was not much of a view. However, for reasons mentioned in this review, we ended up loving our stay at Casa Galata 35 and would return again in the future.

✓The location was great - easy walking to tram and Galata Tower. The room was comfortable and having a washing machine was a bonus. Helpful staff too.

Очень помогли нам в экстренной ситуации, прямо выручили (мы попали под проливной ливень, опаздывали в аэропорт нас согрели и вызвали такси), очень доброе гостеприимное и человеческое отношение! Расположение отеля прекрасно - очень красивый район с узкими живописными улочками и кучей достопримечательностей. Очень советую!
