Staff at reception was friendly.
The room had an unpleasant stale odor, with an old, unclean carpet; unwashed curtains stained with cigarette burns; a dirty shower with poor water pressure; peeling wallpaper at the ceiling corners; and an overall dated feel despite a refurbishment a couple of years ago—deep cleaning is urgently needed. Breakfast was poor and not fresh, the staff spoke limited English, and the room was far overpriced for the quality. Its location next to a busy main road made it excessively noisy, and while photos online depict a fresh, appealing property, the reality is worn and neglected.
